The "Lettuce" Passage

Hey Fellow Worshipers!
“...let us draw near to God with a sincere heart and with the full assurance that faith brings, having our hearts sprinkled to cleanse us from a guilty conscience and having our bodies      washed with pure water. Let us hold unswervingly to the hope we profess, for he who promised is faithful. And let us consider how we may spur one another on toward love and good deeds, not giving up meeting together, as some are in the habit of doing, but encouraging one another—and all the more as you see the Day approaching.” Hebrews 10:22-25 (NIV)

I call this portion in Hebrews 10 the “lettuce” passage.

Vs. 22 let us draw near to God with a sincere heart and with the full assurance that faith brings...
Vs. 23 Let us hold unswervingly to the hope we profess, for he who promised is faithful.
Vs. 24 And let us consider how we may spur one another on toward love and good deeds,...
Vs. 25 (let us) not give up meeting together, as some are in the habit of doing...
Vs. 25 (let us) encourage one another...

I encourage you today to draw near to God, hold unswervingly to our Hope, consider spurring someone on today, meet with a fellow believer, and find ways to encourage those around you for “we are not of those who shrink back and are destroyed, but of those who believe and are saved”. (vs. 39)

Worshiping with you today,
Lisa
